About the Founder

The Joinery Hub (Glasgow) was established by Andrew Ferguson, a dedicated, self-employed bespoke joiner based in Scotland. With extensive experience running F.M. Joinery and Building Services, Andrew brings a wealth of practical expertise in high-end residential woodworking and complex structural installations to this social enterprise. He is passionate about bridging the gap between traditional craft and cutting-edge digital manufacturing, utilizing advanced design and production tools—such as VCarve Pro and Autodesk Fusion—to empower the next generation of makers through practical, industry-focused training.

Our Mission: Purposeful Woodwork Training

We believe in the power of purposeful work to transform lives. Our goal is to provide a structured, supportive space in Glasgow where individuals can learn, create, and build a foundation for a brighter future through expert-led joinery and manufacturing programs.

Our 12-Week Joinery & Manufacturing Training Program

We are developing a comprehensive 12-week program designed to equip participants with industry-relevant skills. Our curriculum focuses on:

• Traditional Joinery Techniques: Mastering foundational hand and power tool skills for professional woodwork.
• Digital Manufacturing Training: Hands-on experience with CNC routing (VCarve Pro) and 3D modeling/printing (Autodesk Fusion).
• Project-Based Woodwork Learning: Applying skills to create high-quality, real-world furniture and custom pieces.
• Professional Development: Building confidence, work routine, and a portfolio to support future employment in the joinery sector.
